Day 1: Reflection and Exploration
Pre-Session Reflection Points
Estimated time <10 minutes
Aim to complete in evening or morning before your session.
1: Clearly state the problem.
In the first step, don’t worry about going too deep with this yet. The most important thing is to state the problem as clearly and simply as possible.
Examples:
Not getting the right customers.
Problems with cash flow.
My work is uninspiring.
I can’t stick with a decision.
I can’t get this idea off the ground.
2: Flow with the emotions
Step 1: Write the problem down so you see it in front of you.
Step 2. Grab a journal or piece of paper and pen and set beside you.
Step 3: Set a timer on your phone or stopwatch for 3 minutes.
Step 4: Close your eyes and recite the problem in your head,
Step 5: Without judgement or trying to problem solve, simply notice the thoughts and emotions that come through during the 3 minutes as you recite the problem.
Step 6: After the 3 minutes, open your eyes and write down any notable thoughts and emotions that came up. Highlight any surprising ones.
Step 7: Be sure to bring this with you to your session.

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
